Warranty, HOA, materials-only, and what the visualizer is actually promising.
- Are you 4K Aluminum, or a local builder?
- We are an authorized 4K Aluminum seller and builder. 4K manufactures the extruded aluminum systems. Aluminum Covers by VMA Construction designs, permits, sells, and installs them in the Sacramento region — or supplies materials if that is the right path.
- Can I just order materials?
- Yes. Homeowners and other contractors can request a materials package. Because every structure is custom, we still take size, color, roof type, and site notes before we price material. There is no public shopping cart — the quote is accurate instead.
- Is the AI visualizer the final design?
- No. It is a conceptual visualization so you can fall in love with a system and color on your actual house. Final post locations, spans, and details are field-measured and engineered. We never treat a render as a construction drawing.
- How is 4K different from Alumawood or a wood pergola?
- 4K is extruded 6061-T6 aircraft-alloy aluminum with a smooth architectural finish — not roll-formed wood-look aluminum and not cedar that will gray and move. It spans farther, cantilevers cleaner, and carries a 20-year manufacturer warranty on the finish and material.
- Do you handle permits and HOAs?
- Yes. We prepare permit-ready plans and help with HOA packets across Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado, and Yolo County jurisdictions. That is part of a turnkey install, not an extra scavenger hunt for you.
- How long does a typical project take?
- Most residential projects move from signed design to install in a matter of weeks, depending on engineering, HOA, and permit timing. We give you a dated schedule with the proposal — not a vague season.
- What colors are available?
- Espresso, Black, Apollo Gray, Quartz White, and Adobe Tan. Select items are also available in Warm Oak and Sandalwood wood-sublimation finishes. All are AAMA 2604 powder coat.
- What is the warranty?
- 4K Aluminum provides a 20-year limited warranty on the aluminum materials and finish. Our installation is warranted separately and spelled out on your proposal.
- Will it handle Sacramento heat and winter rain?
- Yes. Powder-coated extruded aluminum does not rot, rust, or peel the way wood and cheap coatings do. Insulated and louvered roofs give you rain coverage; lattice gives you breeze. We engineer for local wind and load requirements.
- Do you offer financing?
- Yes. We can point you to project financing options so the outdoor room does not have to wait for a cash year. Details live on the Financing page and on every proposal.
